Bypassing softlock on the 1st cutscene of SMG1

On most systems ALL emulators may give you a softlock or emulator crash right before or right after the first cutscene. There are different yet unstable ways to bypass it, so for simplicity I’ve included the save file right after that cutscene. So you may start the game as usual, play until you softlock, quit it and replace the save with the one I’ve included and continue from it.

Copy “GameData.bin” from “_Save post-cutscene” folder to:

Right mouse button on the game title, “Open User Save Directory”, copy “GameData.bin” to “MarioGalaxy” folder, replacing the existing one.

Game Description
Bounty hunter Samus Aran finds herself stranded on the mysterious planet Viewros, where she must use new psychic abilities and her advanced technology to find her way home while battling alien threats and a rival hunter named Sylux.

The story begins as Samus is tasked by the Galactic Federation to protect a mysterious artifact. During a clash with the enigmatic bounty hunter Sylux, an accident transports Samus to the jungle planet of Viewros, a world once home to an ancient race called the Lamorn. With her power suit’s abilities diminished, she is bestowed with new psychic powers by the remnants of the Lamorn civilization, who make a request of her in exchange for her cooperation.   • First-Person Exploration and Combat: The game retains the classic first-person gameplay of previous Metroid Prime titles, focusing on exploration, puzzle-solving, and shooting.

  • Check “Enable VxKex for this program” and “Report a different version of Windows, Windows 10” checkboxes, Apply, OK

  • Run “KexSetup_x64Rel.exe” from “_Windows 7 Fix” folder and install that extension
  • Open “suyu.exe” file properties in Explorer, then “VxKex” tab
  • Check “Enable VxKex for this program” and “Report a different version of Windows, Windows 10” checkboxes, Apply, OK
  • Run the emulator as usual

Game Description
The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game features the same great co-op gameplay, creative levels and power-ups as the original game, but with added improvements. In the Super Mario 3D World part of the game, characters move faster and the dash powers up more quickly. Both adventures support the newly added Snapshot Mode—pause the action to get the perfect shot, apply filters, and decorate with stamps!

In Super Mario 3D World, choose from Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad and set off to save the Sprixie Kingdom. Each character has a distinct playstyle—Luigi can jump extra high and Peach can float for a short time. Rosalina is also available as a playable character later in the game! Jump, dash, and pounce to reach the goal while collecting Green Stars, coins and power-ups.

All Pokémon in the Paldea region are able to Terastallize to gain special power, and Terastallizing activates a Pokémon’s Tera Type, which can change the Pokémon’s type.
